stay away from 4 kinds of evil people

Laymen should stay away from these four kinds of evil people. 

 [Classic original text] Good man!  Taking the upasaka precepts, 

there are four evil people who should always leave them.

 First, happy to say he has done;

 Second, happy to talk about wrong views;

 Thrid, soft-spoken and evil-hearted;

 Fourth, talk less and talk more.  —— "Upasaka Precepts"

 [Buddhist Sutra Explanation] Upasaka means "layman". Here, as a layman, you should stay away from 4 kinds of evil people:

 First:  is to stay away from people who say that others have done mistake , and don't talk himself has done it.

Such people should stay away.

 Second : happy to talk about wrong views.  Just say some bad things about others, some gossip, make fun of others, these words are wrong views.  

Especially things that slander good people and slander Buddhism.

Such people should stay away.

 The third is soft-spoken and evil-hearted, who speak well but are very vicious in their hearts. 

Such people should stay away.

 The fourth type is doing less, talking too much, doing nothing, boasting, and speaking clearly, which does not correspond to the actual behavior at all.  

These four kinds of people are called evil people in Buddhist scriptures, and we should stay away from them.

 These four kinds of evil people can only bring bad luck, stay away, and we can get good luck.

居士要远离这四种恶人

【经典原文】善男子！受优婆塞戒，有四恶人常应离之。

一者，乐说他过；

二者，乐说邪见；

三者，口软心恶；

四者，少作多说。——《优婆塞戒经》

【佛经解释】优婆塞就是“居士”的意思，这里说说，作为居士，应该远离4种恶人：

一是对乐说他人过的人要远离，不要跟他说话。

二者乐说邪见。尽说一些别人的坏话，一些小道消息，取笑别人，这些话就是邪见。特别是说一些诽谤善人，诽谤佛法的事情。

三者，口软心恶，口说得好，但是心里非常恶毒，这样的人要远离。

第四种就是做得少，说得多，做不点儿事，夸夸其谈，还讲得头头是道，与实际所做的行为根本就不相应。这四种人在佛经里称为恶人，我们应该远离。

这四种恶人只能带来不吉祥，远离了，我们就可以得到吉祥。
